Le Jeune Dance Academy offers a variety of dance classes and programs including children’s dance, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, adult ballet & pre professional ballet training to inspire and cultivate dancers of all ages and abilities. Classes are offered for ages toddler-adult.
Le Jeune Dance was founded with the vision of producing the next generation of professional dancers by former principal dancer of The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Steve Beirens. Since opening academy doors in 2015 Le Jeune Dance’s current and graduating students have been offered professional company positions, college scholarships, traineeships, summer scholarships and highly competitive YAGP awards.
Children’s Dance Division is for ages toddler-6 years. Classes in this division offer basic principles of dance in a fun and energetic manner. Key elements include following directions, listening for details, coordination, strength, flexibility, balance and foundational movements of dance.
Open Division classes are for ages 6-Adult. Classes are offered in a variety of styles and levels. Students enrolled in the Open Division enjoy the flexibility of choosing their specific classes and styles to accommodate the amount of hours of training they desire while receiving high quality professional instruction. A student in this division may choose to take as many or as few classes as they desire.
Pre-Professional program is for dancers ages 6 and older with the desire to train in a serious and concentrated path towards a professional career. Studies are focuses on classical ballet and modern dance. Students must adhere to their level’s schedule of multiple required classes. Students in the Pre-Professional program are encouraged to be a part of the Performance Ensemble.
